The OZARIN Podcast
This week we take a look at some new game trailers, including the latest from Mass Effect: Andromeda. We share our early impressions of the The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and NieR: Automata.
I'm joined by Liam this week, to discuss the latest gaming news and catch up with what we've been playing.
Liam offers a little more speculation and insight into last week's Destiny news, we take a look at some new trailers and go a little off-topic discussing some of our favourite science-fiction topics.
And as usual, we share thoughts on the games we've been playing. This week, I've spent some time with The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild whilst Liam has made a start to NieR: Automata.
Additionally, we switch up our competition a little after a second week with no entries! More details below.
This week, we've watched a bunch of new trailers for upcoming games, including...
Not a trailer as such, but new footage featuring Green Hill Zone act 2 has me excited for this game's release this summer!
With only a couple of weeks left until its release, this nicely cut trailer features some new footage and Asari cuddles!
Though we didn't have time to talk about the new gameplay footage, featuring the infamous Hang 8 level, I felt it deserved an honourable mention.
On Thursday, Bungie streamed their Age of Triumph reveal via Twitch. This will be the last expansion to the original title before Destiny 2 is expected in Autumn.
It's a bold move from Bungie and fairly uncommon in online multiplayer games. We talk about what it could mean for the franchise, and Liam offers his thoughts as a Destiny veteran.
What, doors? Hear me out...
Liam made a great point when we were talking about The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, regarding intuitive design. This video builds on what we briefly discussed, and is a great watch if you're interested in design.
It might not be directly game related, but good design translates well, regardless of medium.
This game has a lot of backstory, and it's pretty convoluted. If you want to do a little catching up before playing, check out this great video which sums up the franchise neatly.
We're gonna mix up our Steam giveaways! This week, to be in with a chance to win a random game code, just tell us what you've been playing and how you're finding it. Alternatively, if you've achieved something cool or have something anecdotal to share, we'll read that too! No need for a huge essay, just keep it short and sweet.
We'll read out listener messages, and pick one to win a randomly selected game code! How easy is that?
We'll directly contact one entrant with a Steam code for a game (PC/Mac/Linux), chosen at random from our backlog of prizes. Games can't be chosen by the winner, but can be re-gifted to someone else at the winner's discretion.
