Notes for this Podcast
Dave sits this one out, and instead I’m joined by Ash and Liam.
We talk about the Pokémon Sun/Moon hype following their recent release, discussing a few of the new game mechanics as I try desperately to stay relevant (having not touched the series since Pokémon Gold). We also talk a little about the Pokémon Uranium fan project.
I manage to swing the conversation towards Dark Souls (because of course) and we talk about the rewards of perseverance in tough games.
Liam talks about his retro game collection and in particular, his original XBOX console. He passionately talks about games such as The Suffering, Knights of the Old Republic and checks in with his old Halo clan; which was surprisingly still active!
Pokémon Sun and Moon
You can see more videos on The Official Pokémon Channel on YouTube.
Pokémon Uranium
Pokémon Uranium is a cancelled fan project created in RPGmaker XP. Whilst ambitious, the creators were hit with a cease and desist by Nintendo. However, development has since been taken over by the community and you can read about the project on the Pokemon Uranium wikia page.
Dark Souls 3: Ashes of Ariandel
I’ve been playing Dark Souls 3 since it was released in April, but I get my butt kicked in the Ashes of Ariandel expansion (PC version). Think you can lend me a hand? Drop me a friend request on Steam.
The Suffering
Liam gets quite nostalgic about this gruesome title, among others, from his original Xbox game collection.
